Attention Lobster Lovers
Charleswood Rotary Club’s 32nd Annual Lobster Dinner
The Charleswood Rotary Club is having its 32nd Annual Lobster Dinner and Dancing on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at the Eric Coy Arena, 535 Oakdale Drive. The event will include great food, a cash bar, a silent auction, a prize for the best decorated table, a pre-dinner classic car show, and musical entertainment provided by The 2 Man Band.
The cost is $50 per dinner for a single lobster, $70 for two lobsters, or $30 for a chicken dinner. Doors open at 6:00 pm and you can dance the night away until midnight. Corporate tables can also be reserved.
The Winnipeg Charleswood Rotary Club was established in 1985 and is part of Rotary International, a volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. About 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries conduct projects and address today’s challenges.
The Charleswood Rotary Club has been holding this annual fundraiser for the past 30 years. Last year we served dinner to over 650 guests. The event raised over $19,000.00 for service. Over the course of our 30 years of lobster dinners the club has raised over $325,000.00 for charities both here in Winnipeg, and Internationally.
Our club currently supports: Assiniboine Forrest, four High School Bursaries in the neighbourhood, the Literacy Program at Westgrove School, the Literacy Program at the Immigration & Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM), Rotary’s Eradication of Polio Program worldwide, plus numerous other smaller organizations.
So don’t miss your chance to be a part of this wonderful event, which not only supports a number of important causes, but will also be celebrating Canada’s 150th Birthday.
